  Arnold 'Spike' LaCombe - Vice President   Spike has been in the design and build industry for 35 years and the co-founder and Vice President of Altron Automation for 29 years. A controls engineer by education, Spike knows the challenges that our employees and customers face. As a result, he has many unique ideas about how we can take the services we offer to the next level. His commitment to excellence is apparent in all of the ways in which he supports the organization.

Spike has been in the design and build industry for 35 years and the co-founder and Vice President of Altron Automation for 29 years. A controls engineer by education, Spike knows the challenges that our employees and customers face. As a result, he has many unique ideas about how we can take the services we offer to the next level. His commitment to excellence is apparent in all of the ways in which he supports the organization.

  Gary Moore - General Manager   As the General Manager for Altron, his focus is our employees, our customers, and our owners' success.  Gary brings to Altron 35 years of experience in design and build businesses, 28 of those years spent in leadership.  He contributes with continuous improvement, along with an investment in our employees, facilities, equipment and technology to keep Altron as a world class company in the industry.

  Bob Wormmeester - Director of Manufacturing   Bob began his career at Altron 20 years ago as a Mechanical Designer.  Through this challenging career, he has gained a lot of personal satisfaction from helping Altron grow in to the company it is today.  He prides himself on maintaining the family structure that is Altron and being part of a team that you can count on.

Bob Wormmeester - Director of Manufacturing

Bob began his career at Altron 20 years ago as a Mechanical Designer.  Through this challenging career, he has gained a lot of personal satisfaction from helping Altron grow in to the company it is today.  He prides himself on maintaining the family structure that is Altron and being part of a team that you can count on.

  Pat Cooper - Director of Finance   Pat has been a member of the Altron Management team for over 22 years. He has a total of 38 years of financial experience including 11 years at Coca- Cola and 5 years at United Technologies Automotive. As Director of Finance, Pat is responsible for all administrative aspects of the company such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow, budgeting, banking and all financial reporting. Pat is a graduate of Michigan State University with a major in accounting and a minor in economics.

  Tyler LaCombe - Director of Materials Management   Tyler has 9 years of experience in both high volume and design & build manufacturing, including 6 years at Altron Automation & its subsidiary companies. He has held a wide array of responsibilities in many different business disciplines including leadership positions in Sales, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, and, most recently, Materials Management. Tyler holds a B.A. of Sports Management from the University of Michigan.

Tyler LaCombe - Director of Materials Management

Tyler has 9 years of experience in both high volume and design & build manufacturing, including 6 years at Altron Automation & its subsidiary companies. He has held a wide array of responsibilities in many different business disciplines including leadership positions in Sales, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, and, most recently, Materials Management. Tyler holds a B.A. of Sports Management from the University of Michigan.

  Heath Verstraete - Manager of Program Management   Heath has over 17 years of engineering, operational, and program management experience.  He has worked at both the OEM as well as in the machine build environment.  Heath is responsible for overseeing the program management and scheduling departments at Altron, ensuring that our customer needs are clearly identified and delivered to.

  Todd Dammen - Mechanical Engineering Manager   Todd has been an employee of Altron Automation since its inception. He has earned an Engineering degree in addition to Journeyman certification as a Tool and Die Builder. Todd takes a practical approach to Mechanical Design, considering function as well as machinability and ease of assembly. The engineering group strives to stay current with technological advances and to keep Altron a leader in the automation industry.

This experience, paired with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Ferris State University gives him the tools necessary excel in a competitive industry. Attention to detail and pride in the work that is completed makes the controls engineering department thrive. As the Controls Engineering Manager, Duane and his team thrive on the challenges of Automation being a key factor in Altron’s success.

Business Unit Managers

  Scott Smith - Test Equipment   Scott has been a part of the Test Equipment group for several years, 4 of those years as a part of leadership.  His primary focus as Business Unit Manager is to produce high quality Test Equipment, as well as high level support for all customers.  Scott encourages our engineering team to develop new and innovative solutions for automation and testing, while ensuring manufacturing provides a consistent quality product in an organized and timely fashion.

  Kirk Whitney - Prototypes & Low-Volume Manufacturing   Kirk has over nine years of engineering and program management experience.  He attended Ferris State University for Mechanical Engineering.  Kirk is responsible for overseeing the prototype & low-volume manufacturing business units including sales, program management, and plant management.  He is committed to providing high quality production products at the prototype level.  His dedication to continuously provide solutions and pass-through knowledge provides great opportunities for each program to be successful.

Account Managers

  Greg Feyer - Account Manager - Heavy Truck   Greg is passionate about servicing customers and providing solutions for their automation needs. He is innovative, always thinking " outside the box" when trying to help customers with their requirements.  He started his career building machines and progressed through various positions ranging from design, estimating, Sr. management and sales.  He has experience in industries from automation, robotics, injection molding, commodity products and the trade show industry.  In his free time, Greg loves to mountain bike, spend time with his grandchildren and volunteer at his church.  Greg has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology and Management from Ferris State University.
